Storytelling Event with Marilyn Larke

Join us for a lively event on intergenerational and multicultural storytelling, with local educator and historian Marilyn Larke. Marilyn Larke

Marilyn Larke, retired educator, will be reading from the children's book Gram's Gift by Joyce Mosley. Gram's Gift tells a story of an African American family with African, European, and Native American roots. Come one, come ALL to hear about Cyrus Bustill who was born enslaved and provided bread to George Washington and his troops while at camp at Valley Forge. This is a true story that reminds us why it is important to tell our family history.
